Oh grrr ooooh mutter owowowowow

Stupid ouchy hip!
I've had problems with the back of the pelvis on the left side for a long time and occasional pain in that hip off and on for the lAst 3 weeks. Pain over yrs obviously
Well

Yesterday I had a wonderful day out with friends in the country park and it was so good!
In the wheelchair
But the hip hurt when bernie sat on my lap and she had to stand
So I should have worked out it was going to play up

But no!
Daft woman I am, thinks herself blooming invincible and carries on. So I get in all the food to feed the party of friends ns family coming for an exciting new year
I did have a nap in the afternoon and then slept on and off in the night and this morning WOw
The PAIN,

Oh it's so hard to describe but the hip hurts if I sit or lie and to walk, hopeless.
I've had to be hoisted todayBlink
I got half way in the air and realised I'd got no knickers under my pjs and I was doing a builders salute! Lol

Maybe the heat in the joint had burned them off....

The agony is in the hot poker in the groin. The thump in the bum cheek and dead leg punch in the pelvis don't help either

I'm doing this pain diary for the CBT in plain management and I've done well as not sworn on it but would like to write it effing well hurts!
(Please God forgive my swearing)

Had 2 lots of oramorph
Richards helped me do the full rotation on that joint.
The thought has occurred to me that if the oramorph bungs me up (tmi for some- apologies and best skip the next couple of lines) that they will give me a total clear out before the camera test on weds/thurs.

Yeeks
My hip might not move enough for the camera....
Lol
Just told Richard and he's sent me a picture of a box brownie... Don't think that one will fit! Lol

One more worry, my parents are away from Friday so must NOT get to the point of non moving and emergency admission.
Time to dig out that community matron number I think.
Lets try the pethadin....

I've had a right old winge, really I'm so blessed my friend/ carer is here and Michael is about to help me with little miss pickles who has been sat on the bed happily playing Barbies and bebe annabelles with me.

Lets get umph going for the afternoon,
Sending lots of smiles to all you rheumies, wishing you a happy and healthier time in 2013

Love jenni and family xx

Hi Jenni - I love your posts!!! They make me laugh. I have the wierdest mental picture of you being hoisted flaunting your builders bottom to the world! Yipes. Thank heavens for a wonderful, mischevious sense of fun - you are priceless.

Have a fab time playing Barbies with your little one, and btw special hug for your amazing hubbie - he sounds like a real treasure - Sylvia xx

Hi Jenni, hope the hip is behaving itself a bit better by now.
Good luck with the camera sessions.
Its quite a thing to have the 2 tests done so closely together, my hubby had the lower one done this time last year, couldn't believe how much he had to drink!!
Hope it all goes well, thinking of you.xx
Let us know how you get on.
Zena xx

Hello all

It's lunch time on the big day
The hips a bit better (hurrah)
But!

No flipping bed in the hospital!

Oh my, surprise surprise, the hospital has only gone and got full of sick people over the winter, who'd have thought that could happen?
(Mutter mutter!)
Lol

My little girl has gone to "spoilt rotten" camp ie grandmas
And my son has gone to play x boxes

So at least I get to read my book in piece, got the new Miranda one! Very pleased with that!

Love to all
Jenni x

It's 2:20am and I'm actually in hospital....shhhh! It's full of sick dozy people and that's the night staff!! Lol!
Been given something unappealing to which I've deployed all my 'get it down ya gal' training
(Knew all that university training would be handy somewhere along the line eh?!)
Waiting for the enivitable result
Joy! At least it's commodes not bedpans (small mercies there ;)

Hope you managed to avoid reading the horrible bits
Goodnight all :))

Hello all

I've had both tests done
They weren't pleasant
(For those of a sensitive disposition look away now)
Now I'm farting like an old wind bag!
I was so sick during the look down, thAt the other end went off! I was so embarrassed they changed the sheets in a flash so no concerns really but I couldn't stop myself.
It's not something to look forward to anyway its it?
But it's all done

I'm pleased to say should be home tomorrow :-)
Jenni xx

I am home, it's lovely being in my own bed!
I'm sat up with bernie and we are watching 'humf' on nickjr2 and its rather nice
The hip pain isn't great but I've deployed the hot water bottle and I'm comfortable if achy

Small blessings but very important :-)

Hi Jenni - I'm so sorry I missed this thread - glad you're home. Your new photo is great and hope you recover quickly from the ordeal. Is Bernie back at school yet?

My youngest two go back today - phew, thank goodness. But it was a mad panic yesterday as they tried to do all the homework that they'd had 2 weeks to get through - but that's teenagers for you!

Love and hugs - Sylvia xx

Oh my, the procedures sound really unpleasant. Well done for going for them. I honestly don't think I could have done this awake. I would just have constantly gagged and well, as for the other end, probably would have died of embarrassment. I think you're really brave. I'm so glad it's over and you can rest up at home and treat yourself to whatever you fancy. If anyone has earned a few rewards it's you! Naomi, xxxxxxx

Just read all of this Jenni.......you are such a wonder.................even made the horrid bits entertaining to read, even though they sounded like Naomi said very unpleasant.
At least it's all over and done with now, you were like always very brave having it done.

Hope the hip pain is not too bad now.

Love to you and all your family and hope that 2013 brings you some relief from all your problems, you certainly deserve it.

Paula xx
